Just to let you know as some people have been asking- the winner of the banner competition which we held a while ago for the new site is "SmellyGolfer", their entry is above. Thankyou so much everyone who entered, we got so many great entries and choosing one was really hard. Unfortunately we did the banner competition before we decided to go in a completely different direction with the site, the website screen shot which included this banner that Oli and Nathan posted a while ago was for the previous site design (which was actually nearly complete when we had our change of heart and decided to make everything much simpler and more community based).
Anyway so we wanted to make sure everyone got a look at the entry which won, thanks again everyone who entered, there really are some very talented people on here
Thanks for putting it up :) Just thought SmellyGolfer should get his/her due recognition! :)
For anyone interested, a competition was held just over a year ago, when the above was chosen as the winning design to be displayed on the new site. You can see the entries in this forum thread: http://www.kathrynprescott.co.uk/kp-forum/viewtopic.php?f=4
Oops, looks like my link broke. Not sure if that's my fault or if it got chopped up by posting it :/ Maybe I'm not supposed to post links? OK, try this one...

Not quite sure why the links aren't showing, it's obvioulsy not an ampersand problem...could be length I suppose. I've just been looking through the old blog entries and the links that Kat posted to 'Center Point' and 'Paw Print' both still work but the ones to Chistopher Hitchens Getting Waterboarded dont....
Anyway, back on track "SmellyGolfer" did indeed make a good banner :)
That's because there is no href= in front of it. I still think it's an ampersand problem. Maybe escaping the ampersand would help.
A little test: Text before ampersand
A really awesome banner, and even if you didn't choose to do it this way, I think that it would still fits in the theme of this website, as it's light and clear. Just to tell people who discovers the website that it's Kat's one ;)
